That’s right – it is that time of year once more where we get to embrace the spirit of Halloween with some hauntingly good events hosted across the UK. If you are short on ideas, but not on numbers, we’ve brewed up a list of 6 spook-tacular events that take place across the country. Gather your friends, arrange your transport and get ready for a fang-tastic season of memories and treats (without the tricks)…

Fright Nights at Thorpe Park – Chertsey, Surrey

Since 2002, Thorpe Park has been host to Halloween Fright Nights annually. Immersing guests in an eerie ambiance, featuring infamous mazes and hair-raising scare zones, the event has the ability to tap into the deepest fears of all those brave enough to enter. Experience the thrill of Saw – The Ride, escape the chase of the lumberjacks within the mazes and witness a breathtaking fire and light display within the grounds of Thorpe Park from 6th – 21st October 2023.

Shiverpool/Hope Street Shivers Tour – Liverpool, Merseyside

Add some spice to your Halloween season with a step into the eerie past with ghost tours in Merseyside. Whilst these spook-tacular events are hosted all year round, you can expect an extra shiver this Halloween. The 90-minute tours feature a journey through time by use of storytelling, anecdotes and spine-chilling location visits. Suitable for all ages who consider themselves brave enough, these haunted street tours aren’t for the faint hearted.

Ghastly Ghost Tour of London Bridge – London Bridge, London

Enter if you dare… As the area surrounding the famous London Bridge used to belong to generally lawless folk, there are a handful or two of spooky stories left in their tracks. These tours are led by experts who tell the gruesome tales whilst wandering through the very streets they speak of. Join those searching for the fear every Saturday evening, all year long.

The Dark Arts at The Making of Harry Potter – Watford, Hertfordshire

Step behind the screens and experience the world of Harry Potter with your wands at the ready. The Dark Arts have returned once more from 15th September – 5th November 2023. The studio tour allows you o step into the world of the wizards, accompanied by the symbol of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters, as well as over 100 floating pumpkins, all straight from the set. Tickets must be booked in advance, so don’t miss out!

Brick or Treat at Legoland – Windsor, Berkshire

Halloween is something that can be celebrated by all the family, and at Legoland Windsor Resort, this is exactly what happens. The Lego monsters have returned for yet another year of Halloween fun with the return of the Monster Party, thrilling Lego builds and The Great Monster Chase 4D movie. With so much more to enjoy, you won’t want to miss out. Visit Legoland Windsor Resort between 28th September and 5th November 2023.

Blackgang Chine’s Frights & Sprites – Blackgang, Isle of Wight

For two weeks this Halloween, the Isle of Wights most-loved theme park transforms into a Halloween haven for all the family. The Frights & Sprites event has the perfect balance of spooks and smiles for your little monsters to enjoy. Experience the thrill of brand-new ghost story Rumpus Mansion Live, and keep your beady eyes on the lookout for the mini beasts in the Gremlin Quest. Kids can enjoy the love for Halloween between between 23rd October – 27th October and 30th October – 3rd November. The park also host an adult-only event with live mazes, DJ sets and drink stations. This really is a location full of scares for the whole family! Adults can experience the thrill between 27th-29th October and 3rd-4th November.
